Question for PDF users

Hey everybody! A question for those of you who purchase and use roleplaying PDFs.

Do you:

A) Refer to them only in hardcopy?

B) Refer to them onscreen only?

C) Refer to them in both formats?

Your unscientific, anecdotal evidence will be received with utmost gratitude.

C, both formats. I like having the computer version to read when I'm... er... on a computer... and the paper version to refer to during a game or when creating characters.

C.

I own and use a ton of rpg pdfs, most things do not get printed out, but some do such as monsters I'm planning to use in a night's adventure, a module I'm running, paper counters I will be using, etc.

Most stuff is there for copying and pasting to my own documents for game prep, use in online games, and useability with search functions on screen. Some are just references in a convenient storage and searchable format.

For me, it varies.

I think it mostly depends upon how I use them:

If it is something I will refer to over and over while preparing for a session, I will probably print it.

If it is something I need once in a while during the game, I will use it onscreen.

If it is something I am likely to share with my players, then it is hardcopy, at least for those portions. It is a lot easier to pass over a binder the player can look at while I do other things than it is to have them look at my computer screen and make me wait while they do it.

C, definitely. I prefer to browse them in hardcopy but actually use them in PDF. A laptop is becoming more and more common at my gaming table.

I don't purchase many pdfs but the that I do get printed immediately and put into notebooks. I much prefer a hard copy.

For the most part I only use them on the comnputer. I don't print them out, but I do take notes from them to use at the gaming table.

C - I don't use computers at the gaming table so stuff has to be hard copy for that - also its more convenient to read them while commuting in a hard copy.
