Question for PDF users

I would have to say that I use them both as a print out and on a computer. I print them out and bind them (comb, or 3-hole depending on size) for use at home and when I am gaming. I get time to work on things in the office, and then I use the electronic version.

Since I sit in front of a computer 8 hours a day, reading game pdfs on my computer at home is not something I relish. Plus, I do not have a laptop or room for a desktop computer where I run my games, so that is not an option.

Mostly B. I don't like to spend a lot of ink printing books out. However, I might print a few pages that would be helpful during the game or make my own quick reference sheet.

C, but it really depends on the pdf.

Many pdf's just get read on screen. A few, like a bestiary, I've printed out and mostly use as hardcopy. Most pdf's get read on screen, and I print some handouts as soon as I need them. I even bought a pdf of a book I had in hardcopy specifically for this purpose.

Hey everybody! A question for those of you who purchase and use roleplaying PDFs.

Do you:

A) Refer to them only in hardcopy?

B) Refer to them onscreen only?

C) Refer to them in both formats?

Your unscientific, anecdotal evidence will be received with utmost gratitude.

B only. I occasionally cut and paste bits that I might need into a .rtf ore the like and print that

I would print them but it costs too much

Modified C - I read the whole thing on screen, and use the on screen version when prepping for the game, but in general I print out only the section that I am going to use to bring to the game rather than printing up the whole thing.

C - though it depends on how much information I'll use from the pdf. If it's going to be a paragraph or two, I'll probably just take some notes on scratch paper. If it's a page or more, I'll just print it out.

I use a variation on C

I will usually read them on the screen, and then copy out the sections I need for a given game, reformat the text if necessary and then print out what I need. So I may pull a feat here, a spell there, a npc if necessary, stuff like that.
Precisely the same, here.
