Question: Magitech etc.

I'm working on adding some magitech and steamtech elements to my homebrew. Given this, would it be worth it for me to pick up the Eberron CS? I really don't plan on actually running the campaign, but if there's some good crunchy ideas in it, I'd consider picking it up.

I haven't read it completely through yet, but I'm not sure that there is that much on the physics of bound elementals and other such massive magitech issues (lightning trains and airships) to pick it up for JUST that.

I do, however, like everything I'm seeing, and think that even if you do not use the campaign that there are many crunchy bits in it to use in a game. The Warforged I think would be a great addition to your game.

Peace

I agree it's not worth it for tack-on stuff like the airships, lightning rail, or other forms of elemental bindings -- there's just not that much focus given to those topics yet. The use of dragonshards in these sorts of devices also makes them fairly setting specific, as presented. However, besides the Warforged as a new magic/tech race, the Artificer core class is very well done. You might find both of those worth your while.
