question on Kraken and Animals

Can a Kraken eat Animals?
No just kidding....
My question on the Kraken:
-in the MM in they say:
"Reach:10ft (100ft with tentacles)"
but then looking in the text you see, that he has two 100ft-long tentacles, and six 50ft-ones. Now, I just supposed it could not attack farther than 10ft with his 50ft tentacles, but lately I stumble across a note in the PHB (table 8-7, p.131) that says that this 10ft attack is his bite attacks. So does he have a 50ft range with his tentacle? can he use his bite attack with a 10ft range or only when he has grappled somebody with is small tentacles?

As for animals:
they don't have feat, except for weapon finesse, which they always have when their Dex is higher than their Str, EXCEPT for the Small Dog... is that an error? is there a rule for animals with WpnFin?

... nobody cares about the poor Kraken and the poor Small dog...
just restating my questions:
1)what are the attacks of the Kraken and their respective reach?
2)Do all animals with better Dex than Str have weapon finesse on their natural attacks?
I might add another one:
3) are psi attacks [Mind-Affecting]?

I'd just say 50- foot reach with 50 foot tentacles - simple enough for me.

There is a tendency toward Weapon Finesse for animals with good Dex, but no general rule that they must have it, so I don't think it's in error (though it may be).
