question? - the salt elemental - earth or water subtype?

First Post
Hi, folks,

I'm working on the Salt Quasielemental, and I'm wondering how I should approach its subtype. True, its basis is water and negative energy, so it could be the water subtype, but really, salt is a mineral, so it could easily be fitted with the Earth subtype.

Furthermore, do the quasi-elementals need to be fitted with subtypes at all?

Vacuum would/should be Air, Dust would be Earth, but could be Air. Ash should be fire, but could be Air as well.

Any thoughts?

Water! The idea is that it's closing in on the anti-water state of water... the negative essence, if you will. Salt is a mineral, but mineral is a type of earth quasielemental- if you get my meaning: don't mix physics with fantasy, and don't mix up your chemistry and alchemy! Who knows what'll happen!

:D

If you examine the mephits from the Monstorus Manual, their subtypes appear ot have been assigned in a somewhat scientific way, as opposed to alchemical:

Dust was given the Air subtype (really strange),
Magma was given Fire (but not Earth),
Ice was given Air and Cold,
Salt was given subtype Earth,
Steam was subtype Water (but not Air, which it could have easily been given),

They didn't convert the Ash, Radiance, Vacuum, Mineral or Lightning mephits. Maybe that should be another project?

Well, I'm almost finished with the half-quasielemental template -- just as soon as I finish Ash and Dust, I'll know how to approach the their template analogues.

I'm thinking of also doing the basic Quasielemental template. And then some mephits. :)

Well, I have a Magma Element template on my HD (made it myself.), also I'm working on Ooze and Smoke element templates, as soon as I finish them, I'll post them (Along with the shadow elemental :D)

I am also working on four different Para-elementals to go with my wood elemental:

Fungus Paraelemental (Wood, Water)
Root Paraelemental (Wood, Earth)
Amber Paraelemental (Wood, Fire)

and last but not least:

Leaf Paraelemental (Wood, Air)

But I'm not quite sure about the last one, if you have a better idea for Wood/Air Paraelemental, please mention it :D

How about a Pollen/Spore Elemental? Pollen and Spores are spread by the air, so that might work.
