Questions about an Awakened object

Maybe there should be an Awaken Object spell that works on animated objects... Hmmm...

But yeah, I'm considering what I'd do with an Awaken Animated Object spell. My entire house would be able to attack intruders. My cart would not need to be drawn by a horse. I'd make Gargoyles. That would rock.

But as potentially useful as that might be, the Awaken Sand spell is already designed to be incredible. You've got this Huge creature that can literally lay flat on the ground as an inch of sandy floor, then erupt upwards. It can engulf like an Ooze. It can pass under a doorway. etc.
