Questions about Elements of Magic

Yeah, I know, how DARE I start a thread about a non-4E related topic? Heathen!

I picked this up a bit back, but have never had an opportunity to use it for a character. It looks great, but I'm having a hard time selling my DM on it... So, I've got a question for those who are using it.

What areas break horribly? I'm looking specifically at the stat buffing section, and being able to boost stats on a scalable basis seems a little scary, what with 3.5's emphasis on "fixed" stat bonuses. If people can point out other areas that break like crazy, I'd point them out to my DM and stay well away from them.

Thanks!

There are areas that can be scary because it shifts the expected abilities..

Some areas to key you DM into:
- Scry is very easy
- Teleport is very easy
- Unless you use some of the suggested HR's {look in the EnPublishing forum}, Mass spells are nastily powerful

An area that some paying attention to... the Create line. Since its based on a GP limit, there can be alot of variation of opinion on what something costs. For example, one of my players wanted to Create: Nature a ramp to scale a 20' wall... how much does that cost?

Other thing, the best way is to get your DM in on the spell creation and see how things pan out.
