Questions about Shapechangers

First Post
I was reading the Info for the Changeling, and one sentence intrigued me.

"You are a Shapechanger; you can alter your appearance. As such, you are affected by effects and conditions that affect Shapechangers"

I was just wondering if I could get a little more explanation on that. I've looked through my books and I can't seem to find anything that expands on that.

Could anyone please tell me what I should be looking for, or, alternatively, could you please tell me what 'does' affect Shapechangers?

Thanks!

Looking through compendium -- not much! Moonclaw weapons (Dungeon 185) do grant +1 to defenses against shapechangers and have d12 crit damage against them. And Lunia 's Bracelet will force you to resume your true form. Also, the Invoker power Howl at the Moon (Dr 386) has extra effects against shapechangers, as do the Exorcist of the Silver Flame PP (Eberon pg) attack powers.

This is something that I think WotC left in the hands of the GM like quite alot of other things. For about the same reason why we do not have alot of creatures immune or resistantant to PC attacks. This is in the name of game balance. But by stating this in the rules, the GM can come up with alot of things for flavor. And Changelings aren't the only one with this kind of wording. Elves and Eladrin are considered to be Elven and Fey if I am not mistaken and while there might be a few more things that do more against Fey it's not a huge list.

Shapechanger is a keyword. Many monsters have it as well. Anything can in theory be tied to keywords, they just exist as generic hooks for any mechanics that want to call them out. All PCs have a number of them, like a human would have natural, humanoid, and human.
