Ok, I've read through the quick rules and have some questions that I can't find the answers to. If they are in the module just point me there or if easier please just answer here.

I know that there is melee and ranged, but what is the difference between and ? I couldn't find it in the rules.

Also, what is this ?

Even from seeing the tags written out I'm not clear. Please help, I'm hoping to run this tonight.

Sword in a circle is a basic melee attack. The other symbol is the one for an effect that starts next to the character.
