Questions You Would've Asked

17. Why is WoTC so slow to open up new material that they rarely support? Magical Locations, Planar Feats and other mechanics could benefit a ton from intelligent third party design.

Indeed! As I recall, Phil Reed has mentioned in that past that he has requested permission to work on such material. I am left with the impression that he never received an answer, though I could be wrong.

I've never received an answer. I assume I'm just too far down on the food chain.

You know, ideally this is the sort of thing we should compile before the convention, not afterward. Which makes the question - what's the next big con where WotC will have a substantial presence, who's going, and could they please write down this list and keep a copy in their pocket when they get there?

Some of the ones so far are silly (and not just the ones deliberately trying to be), already at least partially answered, or founded on questionable presuppositions. But 1-5, 12, 16 and 17 certainly deserve answers, at the very least.

Aside from the slight overemphasis on the spawn of Tiamat, I love the MM4. Great design, great ideas.
And others of us had a, um, different opinion.

Seriously, it is fine that some people thought it didn't completely sucked, but why cast a narrow net when you can cast a much wider one?

GenCon Indy. They're pretty much down to these two cons as ones that they really go to with an official presence.
