This pretty much answers the questions for me as well, but just to add, the latter two combined are generally referred to as B/X D&D...at least nowadays.

Sure, but many folks like BECMI, and since I started with Holmes I still like to give his work the recognition by but not just saying B/X since B has more than one meaning ;)
 

I started with AD&D in my highschool days about 15ish years ago.

Restarted with 3.5 with smatterings of 3.0, mixing different campaign settings of Eberron, Forgotten Realms and Greyhawk.
