Quick Damage Reduction Question

Would damage reduction from being half-fey (5/Cold Iron) stack with the cold iron damage reduction granted by the warlock class or not?

Except if you use Roll with It feat from Savage Species (3.0 I beleive). That gives DR2 and stacks with itself so you can take it multiple times. Though you need Toughness feat and 20 Con to get it...

Are you sure? I thought it was that damage reduction of different types only overlapped, but that DR of the same type would stack. Looking at the section in the DMG it isn't clear to me, the example is about different types. Anyone?
