Quick Dex question

When wearing heavy armors, do you gt the maximum Dex bonus as the basis for a Reflex save also?

I mean, when my fighter with 16 dex is wearing a plate giving a max +1 to AC, does that translate to a max +1 Dex to the reflex save? Logics says it would, so therefore I presume it does NOT, but I would like some confirmation nonetheless.

The "max Dex bonus" thing for armour applies only to your Dex bonus to AC. If you have 18 Dex, you get +4 to Ref saves regardless of what armour you wear.

Hi!

The "max Dex" limitation is only for AC (I think). It doesn't limit your Reflex saves or ranged attacks or anything else. I do not have a direct quote form the PHB that says this, but my group and every DnD group I have encontered plays it like this....

Dude...I would totally suggest that you consider wearing some armor and getting rid of that plate. I mean, a plate doesn't offer much protection, you know? They're fragile, small, and sometimes, they're kinda expensive.

Actually, hat he wants is Mithral Plate to take advantage of that Dex bonus.
