Quick need underwater adventure

For a plot twist, have the PCs discover that the certain "something to let them breathe underwater" became permanent and also prevents them from breathing anywhere except underwater. The players rushed you into an undersea adventure, now is your chance to get back at them. ;)

They are already out, and my brother would come and complain to me after game if I did. Cause he hates every thing I slave over to make. Luckily they still had to finish a previous adventure last game, and he doesnt like the place I made for the adventure. It seems he only likes places where he can get money "safely." But I am not sure on that one. Th thngs that let them breathe underwater re little things tha have attachd to their neck. I could not have them do it now, cause they pretty much rushed me through near the end cause ne of the players had ot go home. I wanted to stop it sort of so I could have them do something in the water next game. but they were all sort of complaining about how they all wanted their reward.

Sometimes I wish my players were more mature, I mean the Dwarf sticking sausage in the mages hair is funny, but it gets old after a while.

They did have on old(Late 50s) help them a bit, they met him with a band of men who were making a liing on an island, and he ws the one who gave them the creatures.

I was going to have them run into some ancient power in the sea ala Cthulhu, but they did not give me enough time. But oh well, I will save him for some other time. :]

Perhaps the creatures implanted eggs in the PCs, while simultaneously granting the ability to breathe underwater. Give them a few weeks of game time, then fill them with the overwhelming urge to return to water, to hatch the creatures' brood.
