"Quick Posts" Update To EN World Mobile Theme

If you're using a mobile phone to read EN World's news page, you'll have noticed the new mobile theme which makes browsing the news much easier on a small device. There's also some new functionality for quick posts, should you want to ask a quick question or post a quick comment without diving fully into the forums. If you hit the "What's New?" button at the top right of the mobile news page, you'll see a feed of the latest forum posts. You can quickly select a forum and make a post directly from that screen. Additionally, hitting the little camera icon allows you to upload one image to your thread.

There's more mobile functionality coming, bit by bit. The idea is to make the most core, fundamental usage of the site very quick to use. So far, that's news reading and asking quick questions in the forums (especially useful if you're in mid-game and need a quick rules answer).

You can always switch to the regular, full site by using the link at the bottom of the mobile page.

So if you're on a mobile phone right now, give it a try! Ask a quick rules question (or, a question about Star Wars, or whatever). All you need to do is:

  1. From the news feed hit the "What's New?" button to get to the discussion feed.
  2. Select a forum. It's limited to a small handful of commonly used forums - D&D 5E, Pathfinder, General RPG, Media Lounge, and a couple of others.
  3. Enter a title and a post.
  4. Attach an image if you wish.
  5. Hit "Post".
