I dont have any of my books here at work, but was wondering:

Can a creatures at-will abilities be done as a free action or move eq.?

Unless mentioned otherwise, spell-like abilities are standard actions.

They're free actions on the Astral Plane though, which is sick

Depends. Some at-will abilities are spell-like abilities. Most of them I think.

Hmm. Can't remember one example where it isn't. Wait, I remember one thing where it was written kinda this "Can do blabla as free action at will"

But if in the stat block you got a "At will: darkness" for devils or so, it's a spell like ability.

"At will" basically means there's no limit to how many times the ability can be used per day. Unless stated otherwise, activating the ability would be the same as for any ability -- a standard action for spell-like and supernatural abilities, or a free action (or not an action) for extraordinary abilities. This extends to character abilities as well: for example, the paladin's detect evil requires a standard action to activate.

For spell-like abilities they use the spell's normal casting time. Most would be standard actions, but not all.
