Quick Silence Spell question

I was wondering if an enemy gets a save if a caster casts the spell on an enemies non magic belt (or other non magical clothing item)?


This came up in the game, and just wanted to get a clarification on it.

Yes, he would.
Edit: page 166 of the player's handbook (3.5) states that "an item attended by a character (being grasped, touched, or worn) makes saving throws as the character (that is, using the character's saving throws)."
