I have a character in 3.0 that has Monkey Grip and is using a Greatsword and Shield. He has Quick Draw and Improved Disarm. Can he do the of the following,

Switch from one-handed Greatsword and Shield, to two-handed Greatsword so that he can perform a Disarm maneuver, using quick draw so that it is a free action.

Nope.

EDIT: Okay, that was probably to short an answer. Here is the reason; readying or loosing a shield is move-equivalent-action that does not provoke an attack of oppertunity.

How could you go from shield to no shield and have quick draw make that faster? It is for drawing weapons, not putting away shields.

If the PC were to drop the sheild (a free action) and then go two-handed on the greatsword, I wouldn't see why that's a problem. They'll suffer an AoO if they attempt to recover the shield, that's all.

Nope. You still have to loosen it before you can drop it.

Oh yeah...it says so right here on pg. 123 of the PHB. "Loosing a shield (removing it from the arm and dropping it) is only a move action."

You'll have to forgive my error. A thousand apologies...

Guess you'll just have to go one-handed on the disarm.

Medium magical shield and magical greatsword, AND I should have mentioned he has Sheild Expert

Agge's answer is still the same though. The loosing the shield bit is what's slowing you down.
