Quickhit Bracers + Staff Fighting/Double weapons

Would the property and power for quickhit bracerswork with a single attack from a double weapon (ie not one attack with the main head and then the other head)? What about with an arcane power delivered through a staff by character with the staff fighting feat*?

Property: When using a power, if you hit one creature with both your main weapon and your off-hand weapon, deal an extra 1d6 damage to that creature.

Power (Daily): Minor Action. Use this power when you hit with both your main weapon and your off-hand weapon using one power. Make a melee basic attack with your off-hand weapon.

*Do note that the intent now seems to be that feats that apply to weapons also apply to weapons as implaments as per the updated PHB FAQ Q #21.

I would say definitely not. It's certainly not the intent.

Both the property and the power require you to hit with both a main weapon and off-hand weapon attack.

So I agree, definitely No on both counts.
