Munin, I don't mean this as an insult, but somehow I had a feeling this very statement would be made by the first person to reply, whoever it was.

Salvatore has written dozens of novels, made 4 world-famous RPG characters, written the Demonswar Saga whole-cloth, and the thing he is most remembered for is killing off Chewbacca. I wonder if I should ask him if he had any regrets writing for LucasFolks?

He killed Chewie? I didn't know what book that happened in (I've yet to read a SW novel, although Timmothy Zahn's books have been calling to me), and I didn't know Salvatore wrote it. Although as it has been pointed out, I doubt it was his call anyway. I didn't even know about Chewie's death until I stumbled upon his funeral procession at Gencon 2000. I was on my way to a Weis and Hickman seminar thing and heard a bagpipe and saw a large coffin being carried by Jedi (and accompanied by Imperial Guards for some reason). I think there was a sign saying something about mourning Chewbacca. It was quite the sight to say the least.

And I'm looking forward to Mr. Salvatore on Morality radio. I plan on tuning in if I'm home. It'll be my first time on Mortality radio. Please be gentle.
