R1: Hired Hands (nimisgod judging)

"Sounds like a plan to me." Ragnikyr removes his shortbow and long spear and leaves them in the room, but he retains his short sword and his lute. "With any luck, he won't be too hard to track down."

Knocking? Tor thinks. And I thought they were going to bust in the door...

Warilly, Tor opens the door. Seeing Gideon, he relaxes slightly.

"What's up?"

"Kerrz thinks that the young boy, Dak, might know something, so we are going to find and question him. You are welcome to come along if you wish, though I don't think it will be difficult."

ooc: Put me down for failing on reading comprehension here. Why do we think Dak is a young boy? Until very recently, he seems to have been described as a farmhand. I think I would have reacted significantly differently if I had realized he was a "young boy." Was his being young mentioned before the comment "I dunno about all of 'em, but that Dak kid was a little suspicious." -- if so I missed it.

ooc: Dak isn't a young boy, but Kerrz did refer to him as a kid because Dak appears to be younger than Kerrz is. Dak is actually a teenager, approximately 15-16 years old.

OOC: Ah, I was confused as well. No matter, Gideon will still refer to him as 'the boy'. :)

Tor considers this new course of action.

"Probably best not to crowd him, if we want him to cooperate. I'll stay here." With a sudden grin he adds "After all, if he is in league with the bandits, seperating a bit may cause them to show their hand. Make sure to yell if you get attacked, I wouldn't want to miss it!"

If no one else acts promptly, he will suggest that Valan join him in the north room and the others use the south. Once someone joins him, he closes the door and checks to see if it can be locked.

To whichever companion joins him, he asks "First watch, or second?"

Valan agree's quickly, and just as quickly regrets it.
Smiling "Tor, you are far too wound up" He flops on the bed, buring his head in a pillow. "Wake me, whenever"

"I'm with Tor on this one" comes a slightly muffled reply, "Scream really loudly"

OOC: [sblock]Sorry about the absance, and thanks for your patience[/sblock]

Gideon & Ragnikyr bid their fellows goodday and walk down the stairs, Kerrz following behind. Once out on the porch, Kerrz starts to walk away, "Good luck with the farmhand, I'll be in the barn if you need me."

The bard & sorcerer scan the yard for a few minutes before spotting Dak. He is one of the farmhands unloading the wagon of feed the adventurers brought.

ooc: Kerrz isn't joining Ragnikyr & Gideon in questioning Dak, but he will walk outside with them. The fighter wants to go check on BusterJack. He leaves his scimitar, bow & shield in the room, but his warhammer is still on his belt.
