With Dak off and after listening to Gideons statement, Tor quietly says:

"He was lying through his teeth, and if we can follow him without being seen I think he may lead us to his wererat master. There's something bad wrong with that young man, and I want to know what it is. The fact that he's not headed back to the farm directly is at least a good sign that the infection hasn't spread throughout this little community."

"Rat... rat, I remeber a odd acting rat back in Allimon." Valan looks around him suspiously "If anyone can follow him without being seen, nows the time."

Gideon gets an angry sneer on his face and quietly mutters, "We could just ride him down and force the information out of him."

"Do not lose yourself to the changes in your blood, my friend. Such a comment is not worthy of you. If no one else is especially skilled at stealth, as I think may be the case, I shall give it a try. Follow me only when I am on the edge of your sight."

Hide and Move Silently (untrained) +2 each. Tor will take 10, and will try to stay far enough behind Dak to provide Dak with a circumstance penalty on his spot and listen checks.

"Good luck, Tor."

To the others: "I agree with him -- I think Dak was misleading us. Fair enough, as I was misleading him too. We're not going to Lathirn. If nothing else, that bit of paper implies that our destiny lies in Ravensdale. If Tor can't follow him, hopefully he'll convince his masters that we're off their trail."

"Sorry I didn't keep everyone informed of my little plan, but I think it'll all work out for the best."

Tor follows Dak back to the ranch, staying back what he considers a safe distance. Things appear to be going well for the warrior in the beginning as he travels through the tall grass and scrub brush with seeming ease, Dak showing no signs that he's aware of Tor's presence. About halfway back, however, distaster strikes. Tor, watching Dak instead of where he's putting his feet, steps on a stick. The loud crack resonates through the air. Tor drops prone, trying to vanish from sight.

A few seconds pass tensely as the fighter's blood pounds in his ears. He slowly raises his head to see Dak in a flat run back to the ranch, the original 50 feet seperating them now almost tripled.

Chagrinned at being seen, Tor will not follow Dak directly. Instead, he will circle around the farm and find a position from which he can monitor the barn, hoping Dak will go there when he realizes he is no longer being followed.

Tor makes his way around the buildings at what he considers a safe distance and pace, until he is directly behind the large barn. He lost track of Dak in his efforts to better conceal his passage, so the decides to sit tight and see if the young man shows himself again.

Valan, Gideon, Ragnikyr and Kerrz are waiting for Tor back where Travers Lane meets up with the Western Road. They've been waiting for several minutes now.

ooc: How far away from the barn is Tor going to settle down?

ooc: Here's a map of the farm buildings.
