R1: Hired Hands (nimisgod judging)

Kerrz checks thoughtfully through his pack after hearing Valan's plans and walks off after him feeling silly for forgetting to buy supplies earlier.

Kerrz buys another seven days worth of rations at the marketplace and returns, stuffing his new purchases into his backpack and tying the pack onto BusterJack's rear.

After making sure his longbow is unstrung, he pats the horse on the side and waits outside for the rest of his walking companions and Valan riding BusterJack.

Before he leaves Valan purchases an apple and takes a few minutes to don his armor. The walks with the group to the south gate, and gives the fruit to BJ before hopping up, he unsteady look tagging him as an amatuer. "Is anyone ready to go?" he asks with an unbalanced smile

You finally head out of Orussus on the Western Road toward Allimon around noon. The weather is fair, with a slight breeze from the northwest bringing a hint of salt off of Elbereth Sound. The going is easy on the well maintained highway, with little to no traffic in evidence on this day. After about six hours of steady travel, the sun begins to set. You realize that sunset normally indicates it is time to stop and make camp for the night, but it might be possible to continue for a couple of more hours with a decent light source. The decision is yours to make.

Valan makes small talk, asking people about their pasts and loves, all the while looking down on them(cause he's on a horse). As soon as he finds himself having a harder time seeing "I'd suggest we keep up the pase for awhile to make up time, for those of us who can't see in the dark, I have a lantern" If there are agreements all around, Valan stop BJ, pull out a Bullseye and lights it. Carring it in one hand and the reins in the other.

Kerrz walks casually alongside the horse and responds to Valan's suggestion, "Yeah, let's keep going. As long as we can make sure that we stay on the road and keep BusterJack from stepping in anything and breaking a leg, then let's keep it up. I can still walk for many an hour."

Gideon greets the others at the gate, and makes small talk with Valan as they head down the road. When evening falls and talk of continuing starts, he says, "I agree, we should continue on for a while."

After a few more hours, you begin to feel fatigue set in and you realize that, solid road and lantern or no, stopping is probably in your best interest. On the southeastern side of the road, you notice a small copse of trees that would offer some concealment from the road if that is what you desire. If not, then there is plenty of open space on the northwestern side. You figure you've traveled just over halfway to Allimon today.

Tor suggests taking the more concealed campsight.

"Any of you folks feels sneaky? Maybe someone should check to see if someone else is allready taking advantage of the concealment?"

If no enemy is discovered in the copse of trees, the party will rest until morning. At that point, we should probably start looking more seriously for bandits, rather than continuing to concentrate on travelling.

OOC: It was my understanding that the caravan raids were happening between Allimon and Ravensdale, we aren't even to Allimon yet.
