When everyone is communicating calmly, Tor relates the encounter with the gnolls and asks if the folks from the Caravan have any news of bandits or other dangers along the road.

Roger said:
OOC: Not sure if everyone noticed this, but LogicsFate (Valan's player) will be away for a bit.
ooc:Yeah, I talked with LogicsFate about his absence the other day on AIM. He sent me an e-mail describing Valan's possible actions on the way to and in Allimon, so it's covered.

Sully listens thoughtfully to Tor then addresses the party's queries, "We originated in Allimon and are heading to Orussus and then on to Rivenblight. Gnolls, you say? Haven't seen them around much this year, though in the past they've been trouble enough. All the trouble has been on the other side of Allimon, on the road to Ravensdale. The City Watch has tried to investigate, but they haven't been too successful to my knowledge." At this, one of Sully's companions stirs in his saddle and mutters something unintelligible. Sully turns and addresses him. "You got something to add boy? If so, spit it out and be done with it, otherwise keep to yerself!"

The young man looks sullenly at Sully for being chastised, then turns to the party, his expression turning sheepish. "I don't mean any disrespect to Sully, he's a good boss and a good man, but I've heard rumors that talk diff'r,nt about what the Watch knows. There's talk that it ain't humans behind the raids, nor any of the fairer races. One guardsman I know claims it's the work of goblins."

Sully waves a hand dismissively at him, "Gah! You've been hanging around those sods at Ol' Gertrude's again, aintcha Gowin? I told ya they weren't worth anything and to stay away from 'em."

"Thank you very much for the advice, and a safe trip to you."

OOC: I'm ready to move on if everyone else is... nice job with the characterization, Dungannon -- very true-to-life.

"Goblins, eh? Well, a bandit is a bandit is a bandit I suppose. Aim a little lower for Goblins is all. As I recall, the goblins weren't all that much trouble last time, at least not until the fish men showed up. Thank you for the information, young sir, we'll keep an eye out for those goblins."

Tor wonders if the Goblins are related at all to the ones he fought in Monemvasia.

ooc: Moving on sounds good. Tor is ready to give out his next thumping on behalf of the common good!

After exchanging farewells with Sully and his crew, and waiting for the wagons to pass by, you continue on your way to Allimon. Sometime that afternoon, the city comes into view, domed roofs visible over the outer wall. Farmland stretches all around the city, right out to the hills and forest to the South. The road leads directly to a large gate set in the wall, flanked by two domed towers. As you get closer, you can see the gate is manned by a quartet of guards who eye your approach warily.

"Hail, soldiers of Allimon. We seek entrance to your fair city. We also carry with us a prisoner who we would like to turn over to the proper authorities."
