ooc: Sorry for the disappearance guys. I had a vacation scheduled that got unexpectedly prolonged by car problems. I just got home and I'll try to get an update up tonight or tomorrow morning. We're almost done and I'm glad you've all decided to stick with me this long.

round 8

Drezel tries to free himself from Gideon's grasp, but the fighter manages to hang on to the wily ratgnome.

Metrius stabilizes Otto with a minor orison, then starts binding the thief.

Tor strikes with his blade once more, this time finding an opening amid the movements.

Gideon tries to re-pin Drezel, but can't quite manage to hold him still.

Fimble stands poised with his dagger, but can't seem to find an opening amongst the grapplers.

Babette, sililarly armed, has better success. She strikes with her blade, scratching the wererat.

ooc:I'll get round 9 up tonight.

Tor, seeing the Wererat getting closer and closer to escaping, roars withfury as he chops at his enemy.

(On his next turn, if still in melee range of the wererat, Tor will enter a state of rage.)

round 9
Drezel continues to squirm and twist, and finally manages to free himself from Gideon's grasp. The now free weregnome takes a step backward, away from Gideon.

Metrius continues to bind Otto.

Tor swings his scimitar at Drezel, but doesn't come close to the wily adversary.

Drezel escape grapple check = 27
Gideon opposed grapple check = 25
Tor attack = 10
I'm assuming Tor takes a 5' step to maintain melee range with Drezel

Fimble wiggles his dagger around in a futile attempt at assisting his friends in combat. The blue-cloaked gnome's eyes light up as Drezel starts to get away; Fimble's crossbow is still in his left hand and if Drezel runs he may soon find Fimbus Gimmons' bolts in his back.

Tor would prefer to use a full move action and circle around Drezel, in order to help cut off his retreat. (While raging, the scimitar is at +9 for d6+6.)
