Fatigue begins to wear on Gideon, and his grip slips a little as he attempts to pin Drezel.

Pin attempt (1d20+8=12)

OOC: Here's Gideon's opposed grapple check to keep Drezel in a grapple (for when it comes up on Drezel's turn):

Opposed Grapple (1d20+8=15)

Hmm, that doesn't look too promising...
ooc: Drezel has already escaped your grapple at this point. Do you want to use one of these rolls to try and re-establish a grapple?

OOC: I guess Drezel is running then? :p

Fimble takes a step back as the Drezel-rat breaks free from Gideon. Fimble, quick as lightning, sheathes his dagger and loads a bolt into his crossbow. He fires, but his haste throws off his shot.

Move 5' away (free), sheathe dagger (move), load crossbow (free), fire (standard)

Gideon steps up and tries to grab Drezel once more, but he fails to get a grip on the little monster.

Fimble takes a step to the side for a better angle, draws and loads his crossbow, and lets a bolt fly. In the rush, the little one aims a little high and the bolt sails harmlessly away.

Babette takes a step forward and slashes with her dagger again, scoring another scratch on the weregnome.

end of round 9

ooc: I've moved Tor behind Drezel to reflect Patlin's stated desire to have him make a regular move instead of just a 5' step this round. Babette couldn't flank because Gideon took the flanking position with Tor. Her natural 20 still counts as a hit, though.

Fimble quickly reloads with another silver bolt as he tries to keep pace with the fleeing Drezel. He fires carefully, managing to avoid his friends and get Drezel in the gut. (3 damage)

[sblock=OOC: ]Move 30' towards Drezel, but maintaining 5' distance. Load, and fire.

Forgot the -4 for shooting into melee on the first roll, but even with that, it was still a 20. I assume that hits. =P Crit. Confirm: failed.[/sblock]

Drezel takes a quick step to the southeast and smiles wickedly as he raises his wand once more.

ooc: I need Will saves from Tor, Gideon & Babette.
