"Now, I think we've kept you from your grandchildren long enough. Let's get you back upstairs and we'll be on our way."

Everyone makes their way back upstairs to the sitting room, where Harrold claims a seat and helps himself to a glass of water. "I hope we were of some assistance to you. If the burglaries continue, or even, Gods forbid, escalate, I shudder to think what the consequences would be."

Turning to Harrold, "I assure you sir, there is nothing to worry about. We will ensure that these burglaries do not continue, there is no need to be concerned. Thank you for your help in this matter, it is most appreciated."

ooc: Diplomacy +6, Bluff +6 to try and calm Harrold

Harrold calms down a little, even manages a weak smile. "Thank you, all of you, for your service. I well remember the last time organized bandits roamed our city. It was a good day when the guilds banded together and drove them out. The ones they didn't catch and hang, that is."

Gideon watches Harrolds reactions carefully, and then says, "We should be going then, there are a few more places we should check today. Your help in this matter has been most ... welcome."

The manor house behind him, Metrius looks at his companions.

"So what've we got so far... two break ins, with the glass carefully removed, potentially sewer entrances in both of them, and signs that the sewer grate was moved at the warehouse. But only at the manor was anything actually taken.

And potentially some strange goings on at the manor over the road, but so far as we know that's not connected. Have I missed anything?"

Scanning the records that were given to them, he mutters, to himself as much as the others, "So where's the next most recent..."

After checking the list and asking a local, you determine the location of the next break in is on the opposite side of the city. It is now midafternoon, and clouds are rolling in from the north.

Noticing the clouds moving in, Babette says, "Could be rain. If so, it would make the sewers VERY uncomfortable. Although,...I wonder how big they are. Maybe we could get a punt down there."

Heading towards the next break-in, Metrius comments, "If the sewers do present themselves as the lead to follow then I'm reckoning on heading to this entrance to the north that Harrold mentioned before we actually go into the sewers themselves. We've only got signs that the sewer entrance was actually used from the warehouse though."
