Fimble McGee, Gnome Illusionist

"I thank you, sir. Good luck in your vending." Fimble bows deeply, halving his already small height, and with a flourish of his cloak he turns around and returns to Gideon and Metrius. "This way, gentlemen. It seems our path takes us right past the Council House. If we're lucky, we may run into the others on the way." Fimbus simply follows the vendor's directions.

If Tor sees the others heading past the council house, he will meet up with them. Are we ready for the two groups to merge?
ooc: Alas, no. Fimble & the others will have passed by while Tor & Babette were dealing with bureaucratic red tape. I'll post full updates for both groups later this evening.

[sblock=Fimble, Gideon & Metrius: ]The trio locates Drezel's shop with little difficulty. Traffic in this part of the city is relatively light, especially compared to the Market. A tiny bell rings above the door as the group enters. The interior is dimly lit, contrasting sharply with the bright sunshine they just left. Display cases line three of the walls, larger items are scattered about the open floor. At first the showroom gives off an air of clutter and disarray but a closer look reveals the items are well tended with dust nowhere to be seen and no two items are touching. A long counter runs in front of the back wall with a curtain leading into what is most likely a storage room in the back half. The curtain rustles and a small figure appears through an opening in the counter. "Ah, good morning sirs. And a fellow gnome, too! How may I be of assistance today?"[/sblock]

[sblock=Tor & Babette: ]It's late morning, the weather is clear, the Market is bustling, you have your map of entrances, what do you do next?[/sblock]

[Sblock]ooc: Try and meet up with the others. Sounds like they've got a bunch of catching up to do.

ic: "Were we going to meet back at the inn?" Tor asks Babette.[/sblock]

[sblock] "I think we said we were, but that'd probably be best. Besides, I could use some time to sit and think. I can't shake the feeling we're missing something." [/sblock]

Fimble McGee, Gnome Illusionist

[sblock=In the Antique Shop...]Fimble clears his throat importantly before introducing himself. "Drezel, sir! Fimbus Leyron Aukits Macklerey Gimmons the Third, at your service," Fimble says as he sweeps his cape and touches his nose to the floor in his customary bow. Though this time his introduction is missing "illusionist extraordinaire". Can't give everything away to a potentially dangerous stranger.

Fimble states his purpose in visiting Drezel. "I'm sorry to inform you, sir gnome, that we are not here to purchase antiques." He looks to Gideon and Metrius. "We're here to discuss more... dire matters. Like the prosperity and well-being of our fair city. Drezel, sir, we need to know everything you know about the recent outburst of robberies. We are personally investigatung the matter, and we have reason to believe that you have important information." Fimble puts on his most serious face and lowers his voice, leaning in to the shop keeper. "Drezel, gnome to gnome, you may be in danger yourself. The sooner we figure this underground scheme out, the safer you and the whole area will be."

[sblock=OOC: ]Diplomacy/Bluff with Drezel (1d20+1=16) if needed. Fimble is being deliberately vague, hoping to make it seem as though he knows more than he does. I'm not sure whether diplomacy or bluff would be more appropriate here, but Fimble has no ranks in either and a +1 Cha regardless.[/sblock][/sblock]

[sblock=Fimble, Metrius, Gideon]Gideon remains quiet, but smirks inwardly at Fimbles mention of the gnome being in danger. If what Dak was saying is true, he's in danger from us. he thinks.[/sblock]
