R2: Rats in a Maze [Manzanita judging]

Fimble McGee, Gnome Illusionist

Fimble looks baffled that his two spells failed so terribly. He mutters, "Let's try something I'm a little better at..." His hands move like they did underground, in the large chamber, and a bright flash of colors blasts from his fingers, encompassing Drezel in blinding, dazzling light.

OOC: Color spray towards Drezel.

 

[Dungannon]

Drezel, confronted by the large warrior with the chain, raises his left hand and points a heretofore unseen stick at Tor. The gnome utters an arcane word and there's an explosion of color between the two.

ooc: Patlin, make a Will save for Tor please.

Will Save (1d20-1=10)

Tor seems dazzled by the color spray.

 

[Dungannon]

Tor is dazzled by the color spray from Drezel's wand.

Metrius rushes up the road toward Otto.

Otto, finding himself on his rear after the grease appears suddenly underneath his feet, struggles to try to stand once more.

ooc: Tor is blinded & stunned for 4 rounds. Gideon is up.

ooc: Good luck guys! This game'll be about over before I get to go again.

"Damn!" Gideon curses when he sees Drezel pull his wand and color washes over Tor. When Otto slips up on the grease, Gideon grins and looks back at Babette. "Focus on Otto, I'll try to subdue Drezel before he does more damage."

With that, he moves up behind Drezel, and attempts to pick the gnome up in a full-nelson style grapple.

Melee touch attack, Grapple Check (1d20+4, 1d20+8=[18, 4], [17, 8])

OOC: Wow, a 22 for the touch attack and a 25 for the grapple check. I sure hope that gnome is going nowhere.

If Gideon inflicts damage with his initial grapple check (I'm never completely sure how that works), then his damage is 1d3+2, and he's choosing to deal subdual, for now. He'll also take the option to cover Drezel's mouth so that he can't speak.

ooc: Rae, given that Gideon is now grappling Drezel, do you want to rethink your casting of color spray?

OOC: Yeah, I'll redirect it at Otto.

Fimble's glad when Gideon succeeds with muscle where Fimble failed with magic. He turns toward Otto, hustles a little closer, and then lets loose with a color spray of his own.

ooc: Just waiting for Heckler to post Babette's action for round 2 and I'll write it up and move on to round 3.

 

[Heckler]

Babette goes near the SE corner of the Grease, between Otto and Drezel. She will then cast Grease on Drezel's wand. (REF 14 or he drops it. New check anytime he tries to use or pick it up.)
