R2: Rats in a Maze [Manzanita judging]

An intense flash of colorful lights explodes from the wand. Tor once again finds himself stunned into darkness. Gideon manages to avert his gaze and steel his mind just in time, and Babette finds herself just beyond the range of the magical effects.

Metrius stands, alerted by the lights. He draws his mace once more and moves toward his companions.

Gideon steps toward the wererat and takes a vicious swipe with his blade. His anger throws his aim off and the sword whistles through the air a few inches above Drezel's head.

Fimble steps closer while reloading his crossbow and fires another bolt at Drezel. The rogue seems to sense the attack, however, and manages to move ever so slightly to avoid the flying projectile.

Babette steps up next to Tor and stabs with her dagger, but the strike doesn't have a chance of making contact with the agile adversary.

ooc: As I posted hereBabette was going to move around Tor and attack Drezel from the east (flanking with Gideon). That may affect who can be caught in the cone or otherwise affect Drezel's action.

ooc: Gah, you're right! That means Babette's in the square I was going to move Drezel into. Give me a little bit to redo Drezel's action. Look for it this afternoon.

start of round 11

Drezel takes another step to the southeast and brandishes his wand once more.

ooc: Okay, slight change. I no longer need a will save from Fimble as he's not in range of the the spell now, but I do need one from Babette. Tor's technically in range as well, but he's still effected by the prior attack so no save is needed from him.

Babette is ready for the wily weregnome, and averts her eyes just in time. She then takes a step back and casts an enchantment at the trouble-making wand.

round 11 cont.
Tor's sight slowly returns, but he's still too stunned to move.

Metrius moves up on Drezel's right and brandishes his mace. The wily gnome is too quick for the cleric and easily avoids the clumsy blow.

Gideon steps up to the opposite side from Metrius and slashes with his blade. With Drezel's attention divided, the silvered weapon finds an opening and scores on the rogue.

Fimble fires another crossbow bolt but in trying to avoid his companions his aim is poor.

Babette takes a step back, abandons her dagger, and uses her magic once more to grease Drezel's wand. The gnome sneers at her as it becomes slick in his hand, but he manages to hold onto it.
