Okay so I have only enough holiday cash left over for one more RPG book. I want Races of Destiny and every game store I have been to so far is telling that it sold out and that they do not know when they will get it in stock. So, should I put down an advance of Complete Adventurer at my FLGS or try to get RoD at eBay?

Personally, I'd go with Complete Adventurer. I've found the complete books to be much more useful then the racve oriented books.

I said Races of Destiny because I am one, a minority, and two, I like the racial options more in these books than the class options...and besides, we are D&D gamers on here, you will eventually get both books anyways. :)

Plus, I like the Illumians ;) **avoiding angry thrown dice by ducking behind my DM screen**

*sets screen on fire, grabs double-handfuls of dice as screen turns to smoke and ash...*

;)

Personally, I will give CA the once-over twice, but chances are very good that I'll pass on both.

The Illumians sound cool, but much of Races of Destiny sounds rather lame. I'd probably pick Complete Adventurer.

Suggested 3rd-party replacement book: Rokugan Campaign Setting. Get a better ninja class than the one in Complete Adventurer, fantasy d20's best social skill class (the courtier), extra shugenja spells for your Complete Divine scion, NEZUMI, and some nice feats.

...how do you know Rokugan has a better Ninja than CA? Its not even out yet!

If I had to pick one of the two I'd go for Complete Adventurer. Why not wait till it is out and you've had a chance to see some responses and reviews from people on these boards?
