Races of Eberron Cover Art and Petition

People who think that an online petition ever has made even the slightest difference in ANYTHING need to start up an online petition to make me change my mind about them.

Why does WoTC always do stupid annoying crap like this? The setting specific books should match, plain and simple. Maybe the art director needs a vacation.

Imagine if they did this to the Races of Faerun and how many Forgotten Realms fans would be up in arms.

Worth noting: Races of Faerun did not have all the racial ability information for the races that were already covered in the FRCS, although these races were given the qualitative treatment ( Genasi come to mind, but I'm sure there are more - so there are a dozen pages covering Genasi 's place in society etc..., but not enough info to actually create one! ). I always thought that was kind of silly, as it would have only required a relatively small addition of text to actually make the book useful.

If they do this in RoE -assuming you own the Eberron CS - many people who bought it because the brown cover made them assume the book would actually be usable without the CS, may wish they had signed this petition.

Cover Shmover...I'll be gettin it either way. I would prefer an Eberron cover, but in the end it's the content that matters, not the cover.

It may not just be a cover change. The change to the classic D&D cover could also mean a change for the standard interior eberron scheme to the classic D&D interior scheme. Though I will buy the book either way, It should be an Eberron book through and through.

This was my first thought when I heard about the cover change. I can't see hwo they can put the brown cover on and *not* have the inside match the standard D&D look. Which, of course, makes me very sad, as, like the exteriors, I think the interior design of the Eberron books is waaay prettier.

I'll still get the book, but it's just disappointing.

So all you people petitioning this would rather the awesome cover art be COVERED UP (or swallowed up) by the current Eberron cover setup? I'd rather see more of the image of the actual cover image. I prefer the new.

You don't need the campaign book.

I was lead designer on Races of Eberron. This book was built to allow you to use the races it covers (shifters, warforged, kalashtar, changelings) without owning the ECS. Base stats for all of the races are included.
