Races of Stone: Deepwarden Question

Contemplative Soul
Perusing some of myseldom used books today and I came across this Dwarf-based class. Looks pretty good, but I have a little bit of confusion regarding one of its class features.

Here's the text of the Stone Warden class feature, gained at 2nd level.

Stone Wardern (Ex): Benginning at 2nd level, a deepwarden known how to use his strengths to compensate for his weaknesses. He adds his Constitution bonus to AC instead of his Dexterity, if the character's Constitution bonus is higher. The deepwarder loses this bonus to his Armour Class whenever he would normally be denied his Dexterity bonus to AC. In such a situation, the deepwarden would still be considered flat-footed.

Ok, so you lose the Con bonus to AC whenever you'd normally lose your dex bonus. Fair enough, but is the Con bonus to AC restricted by an armour's Max Dex bonus like Dex is?

Hi!

If I were to like this absolutely ludicrous and silly class feature, then I were to say that it is not subject to Maximum Dexterity Bonus. ;)

Kind regards

in the RPGA's Living Greyhawk Campaign, it is subject to the Max Dex of armor/encumberance.

However, that is the only place I know of that is anywhere near the 'official' answer..not in the FAQ or errata that I can find with a quick look.

Makes sense to me that it would be subject to the MAX Dex, but the class feature does not say it does (or does not).

I think for balance purposes you have to limit it. However, as you just add your CON bonus in place of your DEX bonus, and the only restriction on it is if you are denied your DEX bonus normally, I'd say RAW your bonus isn't limited.
