D&D 5E Ramger/Hunter: Do Horde breaker and volley stack?

Fairly self explanatory. If I volley, can I get an extra attack with horde breaker?

I'd argue yes, because horde breaker triggers when you make a weapon attack and volley gives weapon attacks.

I don't think there is a way to stack volley with extra attack as volley replaces an action, not an attack. Horde breaker does stack (only one extra attack). And neither is a bonus action.

On that note, is there a reasonable way for a ranger/hunter to regularly get an bonus attack action? Or just a bonus attack? Swift quiver works very well for that, but is gotten late and can't be of regular use.

Thanks,

Yes, but only on one of the attacks, not on every attack from the volley.

Melee attackers have an easy way to get a bonus action attack. Have an offhand weapon. If you're talking about ranged attacks, then you have to wait for swift quiver.
