It's been awhile since I've read it, but I thought it was in the second book. A group of the evil magic-using women (don't remember the name) was screwing some demonic creature in order to gain more power or something. It was rather disturbing and not in a good way.

I think you really have that mixed up with a different book, because that was no where in any of his books.

And I think that the entire series is phenomenal and one of the best out there, but it's a fantasy aimed at adults and not kids. Kids should not read it.

As for the show... they have a budget of 50 million dollars to do this show, and it's going to be 22 1 hour episodes for Wizards First Rule.

Definitely the second book (don't remember the title). Context? Again, don't remember exactly, but it had something to do with the female magic users summoning demons, then allowing themselves to be raped by said demons, which in turn granted them further magical potency. Or something like that.

Whatever the context, it was a far too vivid description for my taste. It wasn't even that I was offended by it, I just found it a really lame narrative technique that detracted from the story. He seemed to revel in it, and if that's what I had wanted from my books I would've picked something up from the Romance section in the first place.

It's not like I didn't give him a chance either. I finished that book, and read two more if I recall correctly. It wasn't even the sexual stuff that got me (though there was plenty more of it). I just got really bored with him.

Any doubt? Before Spider-Man, he's responsible for bringing Hercules: The Legendary Journey (with Kevin Sorbo) and Xena: Warrior Princess to the small screen.

Sometimes you just can't escape your past, especially those who remembers them.

Maybe his brother will make his cameo return as Joxor the Mighty.

It was in Blood of the Fold. Part of their pact with the Keeper is that they must copulate with a demon from the Underworld. One of the Sisters of Light (Verna, maybe?) stumbles upon the initiation rite.

Definitely a... graphic description of the event, and yeah- I don't see them putting this in the series (if it gets to that point), at least not to that visual degree.

I just finished the final book in the series last week. While I enjoyed the first four or five books just fine, I understand where people really felt they weren't that good past the first book, which was undoubtedly the best of them.

I'm not sure how this will turn into a TV series. Without the much darker aspects found, I'm not sure how much impact it can have. That is what I found with the books. They delved into some really dark places and the heroes manage to persevere. Without that contrast, I think the series will fall flat regardless of director.

I think the series will be great. Goodkind wouldn't have allowed it unless he knew it'd be good. He turned down offers from just about everybody over the last ten plus years that asked him to make it into a movie, unless he knew that whoever would do it did it justice.

I really have to go back and read Blood of the Fold again because I don't remember that at all. If you can reference it which page did it start on?
