Random Act of Kindness

First Post
As we were sending our older two (out of four) young'uns off to their first day of school, we found an envelope on the notice clippy thingy outside our front door that the apartment managers usually use for announcements and such. It had our apartment number on it, but not our name. Inside was a hundred dollar bill and a little note that said, "Enjoy. God Bless." That's it. No name, no signature...just $100.

Wow.

Seriously though...why can't that happen to me! :o
As long as you keep insisting to your neighbors that they can't force you to wear pants when you leave your place, they won't do much to encourage you to stick around.

Wow, have you lived there long? Maybe it was to do with the kids starting school?

Either way that's damn cool!

We've been here two years now, but, besides us, the turnaround is pretty bad. We get new neighbors about once every two months on average.

Maybe it was new neighbours trying to pay themselves 'in'?
Yeah. Maybe it's intended to be hush-money. One of your neighbours thinks you saw him moving a body or selling crack out of his apartment and wants to make sure you stay quiet about it.

Yeah. That sounds more likely then random kindness. :p

I have a suspicion on who it was actually, but I'm not going to question it too much.

Never approach them about it, make sure you do say hello and such to them when you see them. They want only to help you out and not to be known for what they have done.

Remember that when you can- 'pay it forward.'

Kindness is a cycle, if you stop its movement then you belittle where it came from.

Take care, and buy those kids something nice for school, don't waste it on some luxury.
