Amusingly, I *just* finished some random encounter tables for my blog in the style of the ones from the DMG. Yay synchronicity!

Since I am getting ready to run another ongoing hexcrawl -- this time Return to the Isle of Dread -- at TotalCon next weekend, i wanted to thank you again for sharing this. It will be a great help. Again. Did you consider putting it up on DM Guild for a buck or PWYW or whatever? I think you should.

donjon.bin.sh does seem to have one for 5e: http://donjon.bin.sh/5e/random/#encounter

It seems to generate a list corresponding to the basic guidelines.

I'm looking for random tables as well the problem with those are that you must pick a level. I want true randomness.

Has anyone built a Random encounter list by terrain, working on finishing up my sandbox, and this is the last thing I need to prepare.
