Random things that pop into my head

Trying to get world-building ideas out of my head and into something more concrete and coherent. This popped:

Halfling barbarians riding war raptors and leading packs, a la Jurrassic Park.

That's the gist of the halflings of Eberron from the Talenta Plains.

Ah. I remember they had large lizards. I didn't remember them on raptors. And they weren't really barbarians.

To me at least, Halflings just seem more likely a food source for Raptors than Riders

Did Dark Sun have something like this, or am I mixing it up with something else?

Don't know anything about Dark Sun, so no clue.

Dark Sun's halflings are much more barbaric than most of their counterparts in other worlds. I don't recall any rising lizards, though. Not en masse, anyway.

The random thoughts in my head tell me to burn and maim. I don't remember the dark sun halflings riding lizards. They where totally in tune with primal spirits and very territorial though oh and cannibals.

Dark Sun halflings are probably the most unique if you consider the hinterlands. A good comparison would be using the movie Avatar with the Na'vi. They could use psionic biotech. But thankfully they are not as annoying as Kender. But what was proposed on this thread does remind of halfings in Eberron.
