Thx for the post. I was fairly certain why it is they do it that way from a business standpoint. It just sucks for me As a consumer I really hate that I have no way of knowing exactly what I am buying with my hard earned cash, especially in this crap economy. I cannot think of any similar situation where I am forced into the position if I want a product. I may not like the end result of my purchase, but I KNOW what I am buying before I do so.

At any rate, not a big deal- will stick with counters.

In addition, in the same press release they also stated WizKids will be releasing Encounter Packs, which will be visible, non-random sets occasionally.

Yeah - looking forward to my four pack, I have those pre-ordered. Now if I can just justify pulling the trigger on pre-ordering a case of minis.

This is good news. I hope they manage to keep the costs down for these packs of non-random sets. I also hope we finally see sets of Orcs and other creatures that are useful to have in bands and whatnot. Good on them!
