The thread about 'still buying metal miniatures', has gotten me interested in the natures of other ENWorlders' miniature collections. To start, here is a breakdown of my own collection and the directions I would like to take it.
Mordheim Miniatures (from GW): Cult Magister (one of very few fully-painted miniatures) and Freelance Knight (Mounted and Unmounted).
Imperial Guard- Cadian Army (from GW): Largely still unassembled, a few of the figures are pinted, a nice dark green and black color scheme.
Warlord Miniatures (from Reaper): 20ish, all unpainted, a good variety of warrior types with a few wizard types, more dwarves than any other non-humanrace.
L5R Miniatures (from Reaper): teenish, all unpainted, mostly samurai types with much fewer courtiers and shugenja, a respectable compliment of 3 ninja.
Exalted Miniatures (from Reaper): Dace, Mercenary Captain; Panther; two guardsmen looking guys, one with a sword, the other with a spear, again all unpainted.
Dark Heaven Legends (from Reaper): teenish, all unpainted, a good mix of PC types with some more exotic figures (Egyptian Sorceress, Samurai).
Confrontation/Nemesis (from rackham): a nice selection of celt figures (scantily clad women with huge swords, a giant, a female werewolf type in both human and hybrid form) and the figures that came with the nemesis boxed set (some muskateer types and the abberations they fight).
Star Wars: Rebel Storm (full set), Clone Strike (3 figures away from a full set).
Wargods of Aegyptus: Anubi hero (basically an Egyptian looking gnoll) with sword and dagger; Harbinger of Osiris (regal looking Egyptian human); and a couple of Po-tamen or something like that (they pass for Egyptian dwarves).
Warmachine/Iron Kingdoms: Large selection of Khadoran miniatures with a few mercenaries and Cryx figures thrown in; full set of the Iron Kingdoms RPG miniatures.
As far as directions I would like to take my miniatures collection...
1.) Finish the Clone Strike set (since SW is a game my group plays fairly often)
2.) Get more L5R minis (since it is another game my group plays on a fairly routine basis)
3.) Get more Wargods of Aegyptus minis (hopefully for use with an upcoming Hamunaptra game...I can not stress enough just how great these minis look like they will be for a Hamunaptra game!!!)
4.) Stay current with the Iron Kingdoms miniatures and get more of the Warmachine ones (in case my group ever decides to play either Warmachine or I get to DM a game set in the Iron Kingdoms)
5.) Finish painting and assembling my Cadian army (and do a few special conversions for an elite unit)
