No, you said: "I wish people would stop bring up v3.5 to defend bad rules in 4e" (emphasis added) in a thread about a DDM rule.

And I realize that the 4E rules will likely be very similar to the new DDM rules. But we don't know if this rule in particular will.

Sorry for being unclear, but my rant really wasn't directed at this particular issue, but rather at a trend I've seen lately of people responding to 4e criticism by saying something like, "Well, well, you v3.5 grognard, your precious edition of the game also had a similar rule, so nyah nyah." :p Which I find completely irrelevent to the criticism at hand.

In any case, I said, "It seems like a bad rule to me. I really hope something like this rule doesn't get ported over into the full 4e game." So I was (and am) aware that this is not a known part of 4e but is a part of the miniatures game.

But anyway...it really doesn't matter.

Centre to all of Targets base” is a good common sense standard for cover.

Yeah, it is.

One of the nice things about "corner of square" is that it allows sniping around walls, but does lead to odd corner cases (and incomprehension).

Cheers!
