D&D 5E (2014) ranger getting caught all of time---What to do?

The fact the DM is frustrated as well is a heads up that the entire group needs to have a 'How do we make this more fun and less frustrating' discussion ASAP. If you are frustrated and the DM is frustrated, it is probable that other players are also frustrated. Needs to be fixed or it will probably not end well. Bad vibes tend to breed more bad vibes. If you have noticed the rouges are favorites, the other non rouges likely have as well.

Most fun RPG sessions are a cooperative effort between the DM and players. While the DM is lord and master of his/her game, the players are lord and masters of their butts and can always invoke the 'get up and leave' maneuver if the game gets too out of hand.

I will try to talk to the other players about what we can do. I think that is the plan with what we are doing next time we have a session.

Would that count under stealth? I was asking like what skill or some ability that I would be able to work on as a ranger maybe on my own as myself and the rest of the party wait for our next adventure/outing

Yeah, my reply wasn't helpful - I was trying to be funny.

I don't have my books with me at the moment, but you could suggest to the DM you want to work on acquiring a tool proficiency for a "camouflage kit." Perhaps the use of this kit provides you with some kind of advantage when trying to be stealthy. Training like this is a listed Downtime Activity.

Otherwise, I would suggest doing Research on upcoming threats so as to gain an advantage when you face them later. Like if you know the next adventure on which you'll be going will take you through the Land of Wind & Ghosts, you can do Research on this and get some useful information.

Would be trying to make like a camouflage kit like make one. Like an example I guess would maybe make myself a gilliysuit or something like that to use in my favored terrain, to maybe get a advantage or better stealth in that area?

Yep. That's what I would try to do. It's up to your DM as to how that works out, of course.
