Well I think your sister sucks, so we're even.

I would just tell her that she's right and let her wallow in her ignorance.

Ever kept pigs, Thayan? The mud doesn't stay in the wallow.

It gets everywhere.[/thinly veiled metaphor]

I just wish that people I otherwise respect didn't express stupid, stupid, hateful, small-minded opinions.
Well, she's only human. We all have some stupid, hateful, small-minded opinions.

Perhaps she was in a bad mood or something. Deep down, she knows better. By the time you called her on it by asking if she was referring to you too, it was too late for her to completely back out of her opinion without losing face. However, I bet she later thought about what you said and realizes she is wrong.

Bah... everyone has something wrong with them no matter what they say. Ignorance like this is probably one of the most common.

I say she's jealous. :)

Seriously, suggest that she reads a few off-topic threads before making her mind.

Life's too short to waste time on people that don't know you but don't like you nevertheless.

Eh, who knows. She may largely be right. I mean, what've we got now; nearly 12,000 members, and who knows how many unregistered lurkers? How many of them do you know? :p
What gets me though, is that she was talking specifically about those who post here. Joshua, you're a freak. Crothian's a freak. Morrus and Eric Noah and Queen Dopplepopolis (sorry about the spelling, DP) and Piratecat and Darkness and Reveal and Diaglo are all freaks.

AS THOUGH SHE KNEW THEM!

Maybe there are lurkers here who are freaks. I'm sure there are even regular posters here who are freaks, but she has judged us all without knowledge - the very definition of prejudice.

I occasionally send her links to stuff here that she would find useful or interesting. I get positive feedback. She just doesn't get it.

Anyway. Thanks for commiserating. Morrus is probably right about closure.
