Remember - if you preordered the Box Set from WW, you get the .pdf for free.

Yeah and if you didnt that price is a no better than WOTC's prices, if the map pack isnt included in the 52.49 price.

52.49 + 19.99 = 72.49, retail hardcopy price = 74.99 a grand savings of $2.50. Yay.

If the map pack IS included it's a little better of a deal but not by much.

Disappointing.

The blurb indicates that the maps are included. Still at $52.50, they got to be kidding me. It might be 384 pages, sure, but take any other pdf campaign setting of similar length (Player's Guide to Arcanis springs to mind at 320 pages) and it's still better than half price. Agreed, disappointing on the price.

Yep, I'm as big an RA fan as anyone. Jumped on the Necro bandwagon before the ink was even dry on 3e. I absolutely loved RA, and my group had a blast running it. More fun than I've had since about '84 or so. But I ain't paying that kind of price for a .pdf, nor 80 bucks for a hard copy. No gaming product is worth that. Not even if it came with naked women to play the damn thing with me. Drunk naked women.

They've talked about lowering the .pdf price once the box sets are no longer available anywhere. Not sure if it will happen, though.

Well, that sounds good. We're talking 70% here of the boxed set price at the moment. That's very high.

Yeah I saw the blurb also. I guess what gave me pause was the fact that the map pack was available separately at all. So But I guess that separate map pack is for people who bought the hard copy and want access to maps for printing and modification.

Still though, yeah 52.50 is frickin' steep for a non-limited editon PDF :)...

I all ready to drop the cash on it, print it out and read it on the way to work tomorrow but now guess not.

I think they did the same thing for the Wilderlands of High Fantasy boxed set. The maps were released separately for those as well in pdf.
