I have no interest in seeing this. I am SO sick of hearing how Jessica Simpson worked out to get that butt to fit in the shorts, etc etc ad nauseum. And neither of the two male leads is a.) a good actor or b.) capable of carrying a film, in my opinion.

People gave it half a star =\ (out of 5 stars)

The moonshine part was important to the old show; the Dukes were originally runners, and Jessie had a "moral imperative" to make shine for his local community -- because By God, the Dukes were turning out 'shine before there WAS a U.S. of A. and no wimpy little government rascal was going to stop them!

...until Bo and Luke were arrested for Bootlegging. Jessie made an agreement with the government, that he's stop making his professional Duke-Grade Moonshine completely, if Bo and Luke were released on probation.

The only thing that bugged me was the show's later prohibition on leaving Hazzard County -- in the first year, they were hauling around Memphis, Tennessee, going to Atlanta, etc. They restricted it to Hazzard County only, later, to reduce the set expenditures and travel expenses. Hazzard moved from Macon, Georgia to a Warner Bros. back studio lot, and the county downtown square got a LOOOOT smaller. :D
