You do realise that a year is a purely artificial division of time, it is only one month be
yes, but with seasons intended to last around 4 months, there will not be a January release when there was a December one (unless they manage to shift the release from the end of the season to its beginning, which to me would make much more sense but is a one-time thing…)

As I said, everything seems pushed back. June release is about two months later than normal. Years traditionally have four seasons, like the pizza.

So something bumped to Q1 2027? Not unlikely IMO.

years have four seasons, but these seasons are meant to last 4 months each, so there still would be ‘only’ three in a year.

I assume there was something pushed back and that is why they are squeezed into three months each with their books releasing towards the end of the season

With the last one releasing in December, I doubt we get the next book in January. I do expect they want to chip away at that delay though, so mid to late February maybe… that would at least get them to the middle of the season

Maybe a little off-topic.

We are speculating about an update of Dark Sun. I suppose this details should be interesting but in the DS web there is a new download about a new region to be explored. It is ruled by "trade lords" and there are only presever wizards who works for the monarchs. This gazetteer is only the first one and others will be released after. Reptilians are common but no native half-giants or thri-kreen.

This region has been "unlocked" after the "MMO expansion Death of Borys the Dragon of Tyr".

I wonder if the web "Fraternity of Shadows" could publish its own "fan metaplot", or some theory explaining the shandering of the core region and the "ascension" of Azalin Rex.

I agree it doesn't look like Soth (and the bat wings are especially odd), but the full version of the picture seems like that scene from Dragons of Spring Dawning where Tanis kills Ariakas and takes the crown of power before Soth can (EDIT: there's some interesting stuff about this over on this Stack Exchange page):

There is another depiction of Soth without his face covering in DL9 - Dragons of Deceit, where there is a section I believe you can run the bad guys as PCs:

Edit: Ariakus is here too, and looks quite different:
