Re-gifting?

I've re-gifted, thought not this year. My wife has, though - about a half-dozen things from distant family members that she has absolutely no need for.

After my very large wedding, the hubby and I were left with a lot of things that we received multiples of, but did not get gift receipts. So, we had no clue where the gift giver got the gifts from and, as such, could not exchange it. Those things slowly await re-gifting. :heh:

Save them up for Secret Santa gift exchanges at work and such. People don't know who they got it from, and they probably weren't at your wedding, so the chances of being "caught" regifting a blender are pretty low. :D

Oh yeah, and I agressively re-gift gift bags. Gift bags are great, because after you open your present, you just take off the tag, fold it flat and use it next time you need to quickly "wrap" something small. :D
If you ask me, using gift bags is a pretty lazy way to wrap a gift.

It's not necessarily a bad thing. :p

Of course, using supermarket brown bags as gift bags is even lazier.

My "favorite" gift we received at our wedding was a pot that, according to the several stores at which we attempted to return it, was never sold by itself - and was most recently available only as a bonus given away with the purchase of a much nicer cookware set. Classy.

We didn't even bother waiting to re-gift it. We promptly gave it away.

*laughing* Wow - that is pretty bad!! We just ended up with a ridiculous number of crock post and iced tea makers. Bizarre... but - we get use of of the ones we kept! :D

I've never gotten a fruitcake in my life - honest.

I would like to pimp my place of employment - The Swiss Colony

Specifically - ilovefruitcake.com

I apologize for this blatant advertising (it won't happen again), but how often do you get stuff like this on a gaming forum ;) ?
