Re-gifting?

I wouldn't say so. I'd compare it to returning something you didn't like in exchange for the refund, or selling something to a pawnshop, and then using that money to buy something.

I think gift cards would most likely be the easiest way. If someone gets you Star Wars Monopoly for Christmas and you give it back to them the next year, it's going to be obvious...

Also, I don't know if this occurs much anymore, but some gift cards last only a year...

I'd do that if it wasn't so obvious. 'What is this crap? Well, you can have it back.' hehe

Are you sure they haven't expired?

Well, since she obviously has used them, apparently not.

On a side note I have $105 between Borders and Barnes & Noble already in Gift Card money.

But I dont have anyone to take me! :(

yeah, but if you figure the gift card was probably a last minute thing and you do your own shopping relitively early you have a pretty good window. ;) Actually the only gift cards I've had expiration issues with were for food.

I would say it's not regifting. Whoever gave the gift card gave it for you to use as you see fit. You saw fit to use it to buy some gifts for others. It all sounds kosher to me. And awfully nice to use something you could have used for yourself on someone else.

Fruitcake - the ultimate re-gift.
There's only one fruitcake, and everyone has received and re-gifted it at one time in their life or another.

Regifting is a proud and noble tradition! The trick is, of course, to give the regift to someone other than the person who gave it to you. For example, bad Christmas candy? Feed it to your gaming group! Problem solved!

Demiurge out.
