Sorry to resurrect this thread, but i have a question concerning Reach Spell.

What happens when this Meta magic feat is used with a spell that allows for more than one touch. (chill touch for example)

I see one of 3 possibilities:

Cast it as a ray, spell is discharged
First 'touch' is a ray, all others are touch
All 'touches' are a ray

I lean towards 'all touches are a ray' but it just seems to really boost the power of this feat.

I think that's really what would happen: you have multiple rays that you can deliver with attack actions. However, I don't think it really is that powerful. Maybe with some spells out of the Spell Compendium like acidic grasp or parching touch you could get something pretty decent, but you can't really deliver them all that quickly and you have to be within 30 feet.

I was asking actually because of a campaign I'm designing.

I'm Shadow Magic out of the Tome of Magic. One of the Meta Mysteries, works like reach spell. Given the potency of some of the Shadow Mysteries, and that a good half of them are touch spells, I wanted to be sure.

Thanks for your input.
