How much does it cost to board the floating island, and how long does a trip to the continent of the undead take?
It costs 1000 CP (crystal pieces) to board the Floating Island. A piece of land ripped from the earth by the mad wizard Nominor almost 150 years ago, the Floating Island hovers a few hundred feet over the land, casting its massive shadow below.

Nominor's Keep dominates the center of the hovering disk of land, and is the home of Kieran of Blackoak, the warrior who drove the mad wizard from his isle. Now used as a conveyance, guided by the cabal of mages who aided Kieran in his quest, the wealthy can use the Island to go anywhere they wish...so long as Kieran knows how to get there. ;)

Once a jungle centered by a single keep, the Island has grown into a small city of its own, catering to the rich and powerful...

Since there is so little surface water, there isn't an Island of the Undead in the normal sense...but you probably meant Khar No'vhren. A large slab of stone jutting from the center of the firelands (in the East), the Vampire Lord Goresh rules his Bandar slaves from an obsidian castle that overlooks the massive lake of magma in which his castle sits.

Kieran won't take you there, but if something malfunctions on the Island, you might end up too close for comfort....

Where do Lemork, Karomel(Caramel? :) ), and Dorinae keep their corporeal bodies? Could they be killed? or usurped? Have such things happenned in the past?

What are the types of exchange gems and their relative value (=X diamonds).

How do the council of elders obtain their positions, other than age?
Their corporeal bodies are enshrined in the Vault of the Gods, in the Northern city of Aurodinae. Their priests protect them, and the gods themselves are not above arriving to protect themselves if it becomes an issue.

There have been attempts to kill the gods, but none successful.

Between you and me (;)) if the body died, the god would die with it...

The Council of Elders is populated entirely by veterans of the Circle of Swords.

There is only one human kingdom, but explorers and colonists have moved out into the wildlands before. They haven't been heard from since, but that doesn't necessarily mean that they died...

Crystal pieces are the main currency (equivalent to GP in D&D) with smaller pieces of the same material used for smaller denominations (SP and CP). Values for gems in the treasure section of the DMG hold for all other gems. Usually not machined in the same way that Crystal pieces are, emeralds, rubies, diamonds, etc. have all taken the place of Platinum.

If I was the ruler of a kingdom nearby to the one in which the Devil's Due sits (what's its name by the way?), what resources would I be amassing for an eventual mlitary conflict with either said kingdom or other unfriendly neighbors? A number of our kingdom's powerful mages? Massive cannon? Catapults? None of the previous, because there aren't any castles than need battering down?

How prevalent is magic in the common folk's daily lives?

Is weather "normal"?

Are there any huge natural events that occur every dacade or century or millenium? (eclipses, a cycle of long winters, etc.)

When people die, can they come back to life (whether through spells, undead processes, etc)?

- What are the major power centers of humanity? Are there soverign governments or one organization that controls all civilization or something else?

- How do the general population view magic (arcane and divine)? Is it common enough to be taught to wealthy noble children like language and rheotric was to our worlds nobles years ago? Or is it something rare and mystical?

- Are there dinosaurs?

- Does the lack of water on the surface of the planet create any conflicts with the civilized people of the world? If there is water located underground, do the people above ground know it? And if yes, is there any conflicts with the above ground people with anything that may live underground?

- If a wagon train leaves City A going 8 MPH heading east toward City B, and second wagon train leaves City B one hour later heading west on the same, 1 lane road towards City A at 10 MPH, and the road between the two cities measures 86 miles, when will the two wagon trains crash? :)
The largest power center for humanity is the Capital of the Mineran Empire - Mineros. It's here that the Council of Elders and the Circle of Swords have their seats, in the House of Law in the city's center.

Clerical magic is rare, and mystical - Arcane magic is the equivalent of modern day particle physics. You can learn it if you put in the effort. However, increasingly, children are being born who can manipulate the fabric of reality without training. They are revered, although not usually by those who had to *learn* in order to master such magics.

There are no dinosaurs in known lands.

Water has yet to create much contention, since there are relatively few humans, and the populations are centered around the few lakes, rivers, and springs that cover the land. Underground water can be easily tapped by well-digging, a common practice in the Empire.

Beneath the mountains, there are caves...and in those caves, there are monsters!

4pm Imperial Standard Time.

Once I had my breath under control, I drew my sword and burst through the door. Five startled men looked up at me in the flickering light. "Not a one amongst you can best me", I snarled through gritted teeth "Tonight, I shall have my revenge!" One looked at the others. Then they all laughed.

Why?

Also, where did I learn such swordsmanship, and with whom does that school's mistress have a long-running feud?
